Hi! I'm Liz!
People always ask how I got started writing and sometimes it feels like I stumbled into this passion, but other times I can see how the dots have always connected. I’ve been a lifelong reader—starting with flipping through the repetitious Dick and Jane books, then spending late middle school nights thumbing through thick fantasy stories. Books have been a comfort in the most complicated times of my life, so it’s no wonder I returned to creativity during the pandemic.
One small question—“was I doing enough for my self care?”—turned into daily writing. Those pages turned into stories that wouldn’t let me go. I love writing and reading, and when I had the opportunity to learn about self-publishing I jumped right in. I’ve learned to enjoy the messy, joyful process: the edits, the long waits, the tiny victories, and the surprising lessons along the way.
Liz Bullard Writes is more than a storytelling brand; it’s my chance to fold wellness into the work I love. As a licensed therapist, I’m always exploring how to weave creative-wellness into everything I do. That shows up in my books, coaching, and workshops, where I teach small practices and offer honest tools to help creatives move from stuck to started.
So whether you are clicking around looking for the latest novel, trying to hire a creative-wellness speaker, or just searching for the next bookish event, know that wellness, empowerment, and joy are at the heart of what I do.
Thanks for stopping by.
Be well.
Liz
